Hey everyone! Hope all of you are well during this crazy 2020. And I do hope that you are finding ways to stay sane.
With that said, I have another soundbite for you to enjoy. This podcast was done with fellow fantasy author J.M.D. Reid, and we discuss different aspects of writing and fantasy. I’ll definitely be doing more as time passes, but this one was a fun one. Please enjoy, and I’ll be back soon to post some more thoughts.
Until then, take care and stay safe!

So I did the interview with the amazing Christie Stratos, where we talked about my poetry, The Suffering, The Dark Archer, and a bit on the upcoming The Shadow Cult. Most importantly, we took the time to dive further into Mental Health Awareness Month, where we discussed a bit of why it’s so important to be having these discussions, and how we need to be seeking to understand, as oppose to stigmatize, our mental health.
All too often, especially after we lose someone close to us to suicide, we find ourselves saying things like, “I never saw it coming,” or “But they seemed so happy just yesterday,” or anything in between these things. The reality of PTSD or depression or any other mental health issue is that we often don’t see it coming, where even for those of us who are suffering from it, one moment is all it can take.
Please enjoy this interview, and remember that it is important to talk about these things. Perhaps in open discussion, we can further our understanding of not just others who are dealing with such illnesses, but of ourselves who are dealing with these illnesses.
Thank you for stopping by. And if you want to talk, I’m right here.

This interview was with the wonderful Katie Salidas and Jason LaVelle on the Spilling Ink podcast. We had a great time discussing my books and my love of poetry.
For those interested, I have been writing poetry for at least two decades now, and have found ways to incorporate my poetic voice into my novel writing. This is something that I believe sets me apart as an author in the world of novels. The depth and beauty of the scenes I create really are those rare moments in time when everything slows down and we find ourselves lost in it.
Thanks for joining me, and for watching this podcast. Be sure to check out both Katie and Jason’s work as well, as each are wonderful authors of some amazing work.
As always, thanks for stopping by, and do enjoy our ramblings and fun times.

The struggle with PTSD and depression, and how these things shaped the writing of The Dark Archer.
This video is one that I did for Facebook, posted it there and got over 30k views, but the purpose was to have an honest dialogue on not just mental illness as I deal with them, but also how these things have impacted my writing. The last bit of the video is me reading from a section of The Dark Archer wherein I talk about how I cope with these things I can’t be rid of.
The video is just over 17 min long, but if you stick around, you’ll see you’re not the only one with demons. We are all dealing with things, and I’m certainly no exception. Thanks for stopping by.

This is an older panel I did with Go Indie Now’s Joe Compton, as well as some other amazing authors. In this panel we discuss the first 10 pages, their importance, and what to do to maximize their effect on our readers.
As always, it was a good time. Links to the other authors on the panel can be found in the notes on YouTube. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by,
This is from the Fantasy Fiends podcast, which is worth a listen to for all of the authors showcased on there. Plenty of entertainment value with the awesomely hilarious Stevie Collier, and Andy Peloquin is just an all-around amazing guy. Both are authors themselves, and do be sure to check out their work if you love fantasy like me…
As always, if you wish to check out my work, the links are provided in another post, The Dark Archer
Stay tuned later this year, as I will definitely be stopping by with them again to promote The Shadow Cult, which is coming soon.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and do come and hang out with us, there is even a sneak peek into The Dark Archer where we all read from a section…

As promised, I will be posting up all of my interviews and panels, so it may take a little while to gather them all up, but I have already created a tab just for these types of things, so feel free to peruse them. These have all been fun in one way or another, and I’ve gotten to make new friends because of them.
Whether you’re a fan of books generally, or a fellow author or writer or poet seeking at least some bits of amateur information, please look through these. There are some topics that are repeated here and there, but for the most part each discussion was unique in that we all have different ways of approaching this incredibly varied world of writing. You may even learn a bit about me in the process…
To purchase any of my books, feel free to find me on Amazon where you can find both The Suffering and The Dark Archer, available now. Links to The Dark Archer here, just scroll to the bottom.
Paperback and ebook available. Hardbacks will be made available again soon… Also, The Shadow Cult will be coming out later this year. Make sure to stay tuned.
An interview I did with the author Jamie Davis. Since we’re all stuck at home on quarantine, how about a podcast with yours truly as the guest?! We discuss some of the finer points of writing and worldbuilding, fantasy and poetry.
Epic Fantasy from Poetic Roots with Robert Cano on the Podcast
Give it a listen if you have some time, and remember, you can find my work on Amazon, B&N, Google Play Books, etc…
P.S. I’ll post here some more interviews I’ve done as well, for those interested. Have a great day, and stay safe you guys!
